ELP on fire!
While the orchestra shows were amazing, there was almost no room for improvisation, orchestra's aren't generally known for going with the flow. The fall and winter tour was always meant to be just the three of them and I think that they're at their best here, relaxed and on top of their game, they always seem to be enjoying themsleves on this tour.
The crowning glory is always Aquatarkus, the mind expanding end bit of Tarkus. No two performances were ever the same. This is also the era of Carl Palmer. He's drumming like a mother on this tour.
This is a fantastic performance and a very nice recording, unheard for 29 years. Thanks to Orangeboy for letting ELP fans finally hear it.
