I haven't seen this show on the trading circuit so I figured that I would do the honors.

I almost didn't go to this concert. I was kind of broke, but I bit the proverbial bullet and got myself a
ticket. Good thing I did too, because the Broadway the Hard Way tour was Frank's last rock tour
ever, and half of it got cancelled for reasons too disgusting to go into here.

Lineage for this program is unknown. I got it on CD's a few years ago. I only know, from people who
have this same recording, that the original taper used a recording Walkman and was fairly close to the
stage. If you've ever been to the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena, a venue originally built for
hockey games and tractor pulls, you know that its acoustics are, to say the least, not the greatest. There
was a rather nasty resonance at about 3 Khz that had to be cleaned up, not to mention the usual analog
audience tape issues (boominess, weak highs) which I also corrected.

Track G on disc 1 ("Make a Sex Noise") is omitted from this set because (a) a lot of it was lost to a
poorly-timed tape flip and (b) it has been commercially released on "You Can't Do That On Stage
Anymore, Volume 6" (Rykodisc 10571/72) which you probably have anyway. The Ryko CD's liner notes list it
as being from Towson, Maryland USA, 23-March-88, but it is definitely from this Binghamton show.
How do I know? I was there! Also, track G on disc 2 ("Stairway to Nicaragua") has a tape flip at the
beginning which I patched using a tape from another source.

Oh yes, that massive ladies' underwear exhibit that Frank took with him on that tour? It was there on
the stage!
