Neither "France" nor "Serengetti" were ever played live.

* outtake from Shakedown sessions. I added some crowd noise and reverb, and dirtied up the sound a bit to try and give it a live feel.

Back in 2006 I put together a series of "Live" albums but this was one that I never did. Why? It was probably because the album is dominated by a couple of songs that I'm not particularly fond of. I don't know why but every time I listen to Shakedown it reminds me of a hen running round the yard, clucking for all it's worth, and being chased by an amorous rooster LOL.
And why now? It's because I recently had a hard drive fail and the originals were on it. In the process of recovering them I decided that it might be fun to finish the project. So here, getting on for 8 years since I started, is the final one.
These are all audience recordings apart from "France".
These tracks have been chosen because they are fairly contemporary to the album's release date. They have all been changed in some way for the purpose of this compilation.

Garcia's performance on the last track makes this all worthwhile.
