Schoeps CMC44 (110' ORTF) on stand --> Oade Power Supply --> Sony PCM-F1.

EAC (Plex 8x, see log in individual folders) > Shn via MKW .97
by Bill Gardner, bgard@speakeasy.net discs were eac'd from the masters

Minor Edits: D2T06: Truckin'> Drums was split into two tracks with CDWAV,
minor overlap in Drums > Space was removed in Soundforge for seamless play.

NOTE 1: Upon Review, a brief dropout was discovered at D2T06, 5:53.895,
this was removed in SF, new .wav and .shn md5's have bee created for D2.
The D/O was .446 seconds and was confirmed on the PCM master

NOTE 2: The fades on set 2 have been fixed and all the md5's have been updated.

NOTE 3: Upon running shntool len mode, it was found that d2t07 and d3t01 were not cut on sector
boundaries. This was fixed using the shntool fix mode. The ouput from this fix can be viewed at
the bottom of this .txt file which also displays the settings used. Upon fixing the sector boundary
errors, the shn files were converted to .wav and then back to .shn with seek tables appended using
MKW 0.97. Md5's were then updated to reflect changes.
this fix was performed by Ryan Boone (bilboboone@sbcglobal.net)

Notes:
Recording this show from the "Top of the Key" brought me full circle for the
weekend. First, the Top of the Key was located about 20' directly infront of the sound
console and the place where my taping buddy (and girlfriend) would save real estate. On Friday
night during the set break, this guy known as Crazy Bob who worked for Bill Graham Presents came
through and grabbed my bag with the gear and started walking towards the sound console!
Of course I followed only to be met and chastised by none other than Dan Healy for taping
in front of the soundboard. Dan literally had me point towards the area where I was "supposed"
to be recording and repeat after him, " I will record from the tapers section...." A most
humiliating scene, especially dosed. Dan kept my gear for second set which, if I
hadn't been so heavily sedated, might have killed me (especially when they played the Dew).

Saturday, I was too paranoid to record from the front of board (fob), so like a good taper I set up the
gear in what I affectionately refered to as "SkyLab" (a.k.a. the balcony). Upon review of the
balcony tape I vowed not to _ever_ record from the Taper section when it is so poorly located.

This brings us to Sunday night which I can sumarize the following way: MDMA, 110' ORTF from the
"Top of the Key" on the stand and NO CRAZY BOB !

Enjoy this hometown show which did have its moments. And BoB whever you are now,
go with God my friend!
