hansokolow's notes:
Another flawed SBD greatly enhanced by Keith's beautiful pull. Thank you, Keith, thank you, thank you! This SBD needed to be stretched by up to 2%, it has a lot of tape hiss, and has a few gaps and pops. This was a case where I knew these must be great shows, given the setlists and the time period, but I had never listened any of the sources (I think), and wanted to hear it nice and matrixed if I was going to take the time to listen to it, so I put these sources together, and I'm pretty damn happy with the results. The boys were firing on so many cylinders around this time. Can't believe it was twenty years ago, and that now I'm actually older than Brent was then. Still miss him. Anyhoo, enjoy, y'all.

mix notes:
As often happens both the folks at the soundboard and the tapers need some time during the first tune to fully get their shit together. Overall it gets louder and better by the middle of Help On The Way.

The SBD has a fair amount of hiss and needed pretty severe stretching, by as much as 2% or more.

There's a tapeflip gap on the SBD just after Just A Little Light. Only about 5 seconds are missing.

Weird digiblip on the SBD in Picasso Moon at 5:17. Cut out 0.2 sec. Picasso Moon in general gave me a lot of problems. The SBD is wavery.

There are about 5 seconds of crowd noise missing from the SBD after Picasso Moon.

At the beginning of set 2 the SBD comes in at about 12 seconds in.

There's a tapeflip gap on the SBD in He's Gone from 4:44 to 5:10.

The SBD had overlapped material in Space that I put back together.

There is a second or so gap on the SBD of the last couple of beats of Wharf Rat.

The end of Sugar Magnolia is missing from the SBD, from 8:33 on.

After about 12 seconds past Sugar Magnolia the DAUD also fades out.

On the SBD the Brokedown Palace encore is possibly from another source, as it is much quieter and shakier. I had to boost the level to keep the mix consistent, so that makes the tape hiss even stronger. It also doesn't kick in until 3 seconds into the song.
