Noteworthy Truckin's (A Collection)

This is a collection of noteworthy versions of Truckin' played by the
Grateful Dead. It is very closely based on a list put together by Eric
Wybenga and published in his book _Dead To The Core: An Almanac of the
Grateful Dead_. One of Eric's selections was only played in an
alternate universe: since nobody I know has a copy of the "Field Trip"
72-08-27 Truckin', I replaced it with the 72-12-31 version and an
acoustic version from 70-09-20.

The track names are self-explanatory: they list the date of the
performance, the SHNID of the source, and shortened names of the songs
included in the track. Eric's favorite parts of Truckin' are the jams
that occur in the middle of the song, and then the different jams that
happen after the last verse. Since Truckin' was often played in the
middle of multi-song jams, I had to make judgment calls about what to
include and what to cut. I tended to leave worldess jams in the
collection and cut before the next song started, unless Truckin'
was inextricably intertwined with the next song. This involved some
editing. I joined jams with "shntool join", and then I retracked and
added simple fades using Wavelab. I fixed up the resulting tracks
using shntool, and then I compressed the files using "flac --best". I
used shntool version 3.0.2, flac version 1.1.3, and Wavelab version 6.
