Notes/Flaws:
- (1) Tom Fogerty lead vocals
- Do not be frightened by the question marks in the lineage.
This copy has more punch and less hiss than the previously
circulating version, which had been labeled MSR>DAT>CD.
Glassberg's reel was probably at most 2nd or 3rd generation,
and this stuff just sounds absolutely wonderful. By contrast
the old copy sounds hissy and muddy, and visual inspection
reveals lots of square (clipped) wavs. This copy also has
an extra three and a half minutes or so of the jam out of
Are You Lonely for Me Baby, and the additional material is
spectacular and precious! Great great stuff.
- d2t01 Train to Cry fades in
- d2t02 After Midnight channel fluctuations throughout; subtle
splice @ 8:52
- d2t06 Jam fades out where the reel supposedly ends.
Huge thanks to Mark Cohen for the source CDs!
