There has been precious little Booker for a while. Hopefully this can spark some new torrents.I received this from my friend Brad in Vermont who has a large collection of New Orleans piano blues. I quote from his info: "This rehearsal was for two performances by Booker with the Jerry Garcia Band, wchich took place about a month before Booker recorded Junco Partner. Due to extremely poor conditions for the source tape that this music was taken from, much work had to be done to restore the recording to an acceptable quality. Despite my best effort, some tape hiss and background noise could not be removed."
I have no further info on this recording, only that this was a productive period in Booker's tormented life.
