Recorded by Brent Z. with a hand-held stereo recorder (likely an
early walkman). First generation cassettes used for transfer.
MAC > C > Sony TC-D5M > Soundblaster > Soundforge > CD-Wave >
TLH (for SBE-OK, checksums, and lossless compression) > FLAC >
bt.etree, by Andrew F. April 2006.

Caveat Emptor: The early show is a "fair" recording at best. It's
somewhat muddy sounding, with distortion around the cymbal crashes
and vocal peaks. The late show is a vast improvement, and sounds
very good considering how it was made. It's likely that the taper
had a better seat for the late show, which improved the results.

The deck was turned off between songs resulting in many clipped
beginnings. I used Soundforge for numerous repairs and edits,
mainly around the breaks between songs. There's a cut in Simple
Twist of Fate near the end of Kahn's solo; not sure how much is
missing. The three songs from 11-06-1982 were on the first-gen
cassettes as filler, and are from the same taper and lineage.

With a big THANKS to the kind souls who saved their tapes all
these years and have shared them with us now... ENJOY!
