Notes:
- As far as we know, this show has not circulated complete in the digital realm until now (3/2006). Jim Wise suffered equipment issues, especially during set I, reporting
that "all the forces apparently converged on me." As a result, a multigen copy from an alternative master (shnid 24222) were used as patch material. One assessment of the
two tapes is as follows: "The sound is similar while the recordings are different. The alternative has more noise and bit more high end, probably due to a Dolby-encoded
tape played back without Dolby. Jim's recording has better dynamic range and is quieter. Fortunately, we had at least 2 freaks there that night recording history." Amen! So the
alternative master supplies the first 5:23 of How Sweet It Is, from 4:40 to the end of TLEO, all of Valerie, from 3:55 to the end of Dear Prudence and the first 2:11 of Run
for the Roses.
- This is a really punchy show, a worthy follow-up to the fine shows on the 11th. It is great finally to be able to hear the whole thing. Standout versions of Valerie (nice stuff
for the few minutes after 4:30-ish especially), Let it Rock and Harder They Come, IMO.
- d2t03 HTC muffled.
