Johnny WINTER ON FIRE - December 09, 1989 at The Bayshore, Sundance, Long Island, New York

This is the other '89 show I've choosen to seed, and one that a fan dreamed for. It's really a special performance and an unique event by the set list. Tom Compton on drums and Jeff Ganz on bass are playing with and incredible energy and fluency, needed to follow Johnny in usual high inspired shape.

Set List:
1. sen-sha-shun [very hot version]
2. ??? [a blues shuffle, in the "Jimmy Reed" vein. Any sugestion?]
3. just a little bit
4. be careful with a fool [with bass solo]
5. fire [rare rendition of the Hendrix classic, superb guitar solo! ]
6. mean town blues [Tom starts speediest than Johnny; he must stop and go again, now slowest to follow Johnny's beat]
7. leavin' blues / slide guitar jam / guitar & bass duel
8. mean town blues [conclusion]
9.  it's my life [forgotten for about five years]
10. please come home for Christmas [the trademark song on December concerts]

medley [awesome!]:
11. Suzie Q
12. Gloria [Van Morrison classic]
13. seventh son

encore:
14. wildwood flower

It's a very good to excellent audience recording. Johnny's voice sounds strange, metallic (one of the reasons I could not identify the second song played) and is the worst on the recording, while the guitar sound is excellent.

I receive this recording in a tape (unknown but low generation copy) sent me by Jeff James (roryglzep - many thanx to him).I can't provide a complete lineage for this one. The Jeff's tape was played with my Sansui D-95M metal tape cassete deck, transfered to digital using a Creative Live! 24 bit sound card and the edition I've used Cool Edit Pro.

Please be patient, my bandwidth is very very limited. Hope you enjoy it.

Another JW torrents upon requests, from my list.
