>mkwACT >shn >shorten v3.3 >wav >FLAC v1.0.3 (with sector alignment
option set) >flac >wav >shorten v3.3 >seekable shn

above lineage is what I dloaded via bittorrent from STG, my changes follow

>wav Cooledit Pro (applause volume reduced) >MkwACT >seekable SHN early 2004
This has been torrented on Easytree for several months

I am pleased to be able to add the following sonic improvements

SHN>wav Cooledit Pro (rumble, hum filter) >MkwACT >seekable SHN 10/10/2004

SHN was used to provide full Mac support; flac level 8 was only slightly smaller

Joni Mitchell: Vocals, Mountain Dulcimer, guitar?, piano
James Taylor: Vocals, guitar

That song about the midway
The gallery
Rainy day man
Steamroller
The priest
Carey
Carolina on my mind
California
For free
The circle game
You can close your eyes
The good samaritan
River
My old man
A case of you
Carey (with unedited intro)

I have added a notation in the back cover artwork noting all Eddie Burks edits

I hope the small change of reducing the applause level does not
in any way offend them. Their work is in WIDE circulation and
I am clearly labeling my changes Eddie Burks

====================================================
Turntable rumble Warp and hum filtering were added to this great performance
Since london has 50Hz AC current 50Hz filtering was used

Scientific and notch Filters in Cooledit Pro 1.2 used for this task
These actions were taken

scientific rumble filter
notch filter 50 Hz extremely narrow no harmonics (all other harmonics not checked)

Here is my cooledit script, you can create my edits from the old SHN set
(that just had the applause reduced) if you have any editor that can
use a cooledit script (this is a Cooledit Pro 1.2 script)

-------------------------------------------------
here is how to do this in Cooledit Pro

save the text between the dotted lines to a text file named joni.scp
(make sure it really ends in .scp NOT joni.scp.txt
go to the script folder in cooledit pro and put joni.scp there

options/scripts and batch open new collection, navigate to the folder
you put joni.scp in and select it, open, click on the script in Joni and James collection
make sure pause at dialogs is unchecked, click batch run, add the joni and james wave
files then set a directory to save in, output filename *edited.wav
Output format Windows PCM (*.wav) PUT CHECK ON Disable undo Hit begin

The script will do the rest.

While testing various filter effects I used both 16 and 32 bit files for processing
I could hear no extra noise introduced when I just processed in 16 bit
If you want to process in 32 bit you can set cooledit to autoconvert to 32 on open of file
then Run my script then convert the result back to 16 bit and burn
