notes below:
I'm not sure what happened in this recording, but tragedy occurred at the tape flip point, and quite a substantial chunk of recording is horribly distorted. It's as if the tape was wrapped around something, or some such technical issue. I don't know what happened. This also caused issues with the total length of media, as if the motor speed increased as a result, because when I realized the problem, I was running low on tape, so I made the best effort I could to salvage what I could of this evenings effort.
A nice enough sounding tape, riddled with technical glitches in the second disc (mostly removed, and not noticeable). And, fidgety fingers! This was my first recording with newly repaired Sennheiser condensor mics, with a newly realized hotter output.

So,.. d2t01 is the point of realization of a problem. And you'll hear some attempted scramblings to correct. This is also the deciding factor in the cd split between the two discs.
I'm not entirely sure if this songlist is 100% in order of play, or if any alterations to the songlist might have occured as a scramble to find blank tape at the end of the show (no detailed notes on the master).

Like I said, I'm not sure what happened this evening, technically.
The taper gods were laughing at me in this attempt, yet still allowed me this much of my pull. Please try to enjoy it, despite its shortcomings.
I was jinxed when it came to Jimmy Cliff,.... Always something, including getting busted once.
Enough negativity,....

positivity,..
Now to the really nice part of the story,....
I had arrived at the venue very early, having anticipated L.A. traffic, and was lucky in not hitting any.
So, my wife and I were hanging out in the parking lot of the venue, at my truck, listening to a Mr. Dave recording. A white BMW 320/530 type of the era pulled in next to me, and out pops Mr. Dave himself, in normal street clothes. He says howdy, and strikes up a conversation with us, and hung out for a good ten minutes or more, just talking.
I awkwardly told him how much I admired his music, and all the places that I'd seen him perform, yadda yadda. I also mentioned how much I dug his song Quarter of a Man, and that I was the ravenous idiot fan at the stagelip, yelling for a Quarter of a Man encore at his solo acoustic gig at the CoachHouse in San Juan Capistrano gig the week prior, (which he played).
So, at the start of this evenings "Quarter of a Man", he took a moment and dedicated it to my wife and I (d1t05).
So, I feel blessed to have captured a song dedicated to my wife and I, even though I'm a dreaded recordist (pun intended, even though my straight hair doesn't dread) :)

For the ts.com crew,....
Sarge screams at :09seconds of d1t01 "Ohhhh,.. He Changed!"
Thats her! :)

Enjoy!

peace and wellness to you and yours

Please keep it lossless, NO MP3 compression. Too much went into making sure it stayed fat, to make it all skinny sounding.
