This was originaly taken from an FM broadcast many years ago. This was from the amazing
Warner Brothers Tour of 75. This tour featured Graham Central Station, Tower of Power,
Montrose and Little Feat all suporting on various evenings The Doobie Brothers.
Their London shows became the stuff of legend as the tour pulled into town to play
The Rainbow Theatre. The Feat had never toured over here before but had a strong
cult following.
The shows sold out quickly but it was on the night that the Feat were the suport that things
did not go according to the script. The audience was full of Feat Heads who had come to see
the suport band and were not particularly fussed at seeing The Doobie Brothers.
Consequence was that the audience went bananas for The Feat, called them back for loads
of encores and when they finally left the stage, so did half the audience. This left the Doobies
to play to a half empty house and rather indifferent audience.
Straight out'a Spinal Tap.
This is the Feats portion of the show taken from Paris and it gives a fair idea of how HOT this band
was at the time, the slide guitar work on Cold Cold Cold into Dixie Chicken is sublime.
Sound quality is fair and as this has never turned up anywhere other then on vinyl
I think it is about time it got shared around a little.
