EXCELLENT soundboard recording from the beginning of Rod's 1984
Camouflage tour. I say soundboard instead of FM Broadcast because
as far as I know this show was never broadcast on the radio.
I believe this WAS seeded on DIME a while ago, but it's not on
here now and I wasn't sure so I decided to seed it for anyone who
doesn't have it or missed it when the previous person seeded it.
This is my own copy, not ripped from here.
Jeff joined Rod for the frist few nights of Rod's tour, but left as
egos grew and Rod only wanted Jeff to play on a few songs while he
did the rest of the show by himself. It's a shame too cause this show
sounds awesome!
Highlights on here for me are a loud grinding "Hot Legs", a cover of
Free's "All Right Now" that most Rod fans seem to lothe, "Infatuation",
and "The Pump" which is thumping instrumental by Jeff.
The only downside to this concert, other than it's not the complete show,
is that whoever I bought this from on ebay years ago apparently had no
freaking clue what they were doing and did not stop recording after the last
song on each CD - in other words, "young Turks" shows to be 43:32 minutes long
when the song itself is actually only 5:16 minutes long - the rest is just
silence or dead space. "Maggie May" is the same way. Not sure how to fix it
but to be honest I've never really cared as I just eject the CD once the last
song is over anyways...oh well..anyways if you don't have this and want it, I
think you'll be more than happy and this should more than make up for the last
few audience shows of Rod's I've posted...ENJOY!
