Schoeps CMC6-MK4V ORTF DFC on stage -> 25" AudioMagic Extreme XLR Mic cables -> Grace Lunatec V2 -> 1m AudioMagic Scepter XLR Signal Cable -> AD2K+ @ 24/48 -> DAARWIN-24 Laptop (VXPocket, Win2K CLEAR OS build v2.1, Sonic Foundry Vegas Video 2.0). Tracked into separate files using Sound Forge 5.0, compressed with Monkeys Audio Compressor v3.91b1. Only trims and fades at start and ends of sets were performed. No other processing was performed, with exception to what is contained in the comment section below. Individual files can be concatenated for seamless reconstruction of the original monolithic files.

16-bit mastering performed with Sound Forge 5.0 (in order: Fades at beginning and end of sets, downsampling to 44.1kHz with anti-alias on at level 4 [best quality], dithering and noise shaping applied with Waves L2 Ultramaximizer Type 1 dither with Ultra Noise shaping, truncation to 16-bit). All files were SHNTOOLed for proper CD sector boundaries. Overlapping fade tracks were created after SHNTOOLing. SHN files were then created. Drop fade (lead-in/out tracks) tracks & concatenate all remaining waves to achieve seamless recreation of original recording. There are MD5's of both the .wav files and the resultant .shn files. SHN seek files were appended.

24-bit .WAVs = 2.80GB
24-bit .APEs = 1.90GB
16-bit .WAVs = 1.84GB
16-bit .SHNs = 980MB

Burned onto 4x74 minute Data CD's or 1xDVD-R in 24-bit/48kHz .APE format, 3x74min Audio CD's, or 2x74min 16-bit 44.1kHz SHN CD's.

Submitted to Dankseeds for certification on 3/3/2002.

Comments from Dan:
Strange but pleasant venue. Stage about 4' high, packed underneath with giant loud-ass subwoofers. Steve's white road case was in the middle between the two guitarists, almost blocking Rodney's kick drum. They left the case there the whole show. Might have had something to do with gaining better separation onstage for the musicians. Mics were placed a foot or two left of the case, about Kimock's knee high to avoid being blocked in the center. Can't really tell if the box had an effect on the quality of the recording. There weren't that many people patched out of me that night, so that's why I did this mastering. No problems with the equipment. Rowdy crowd. Very experimental evening for the band.
