Detailed Source:
Blumlein is fig-8's crossed at 90. Looks the same as x-y, but the back of
the mics pick up as much as the front, but 180* out of phase. The mic stand
was on-stage, right in the middle of the 3 musicians, but the 2 guitar amps
were back against the rear wall of the small stage. Drums at 10 o'clock. I
wish we had the mics a litte bit further in so the rear lobe of the "right"
mic would have given the drumset more of a stereo image across the
soundstage instead of being off to 1 side. Another thing is I didn't
realize Ray engaged the bass rolloff on the mics and ran it on the v2 as
well. Still plenty of low end, but it comes off a bit dry.
