Tut Taylor Archive Reel #66 Side A features the "Tennessee Top Tension Banjo" being "plectrated", as Tut says,
by several players; from Tut's spoken intros it would appear that tracks 1-7 were recorded at the Old Time
Pickin' Parlor, Nashville, TN; date unknown. On Side A-track 8 Tut introduces the banjo player for track 9,
although I can't make out his name; suffice it to say, his performance of "California Royalty" is mighty fine.
Side B is a hot "chicken pickin'" session featuring Tut on Dobro playing with a wonderful country band with
electric bass, electric guitar, pedal steel, and banjo.

The tape is a 7.5 inch per second mono recording on side A and 7.5 inch per

reel-to-reel machine with a Reutelhuber custom designed and built tape head
preamplifier incorporating 2003 era technology and components including all metal
film resistors, polypropelene coupling capacitors, and low ESR electrolytic supply
bypass capacitors. The resulting analog signal was digitized by a Mytek Digital
8X96 analog to digital converter using Steinberg Nuendo as the recording software
and saved as a 24 bit 48 kHz wave file.

Post processing and was done with Nuendo using the following Waves
Plugins: Q10, X-Hum, LinEQ Lowband, S1 Shuffler and L3. The file was dithered down to a
16 bit/44.1kHz wave file.

The box is labeled 'Tut Master' and '15 speed master No. 2'.
