Notes: This is the penultimate show from the REAL Bad Boys From Boston: Aerosmith. A fantastic, loose, rocking show from Syracuse recorded with very nice equipment and then pressed up into the "Stone Cold" vinyl boot. Oddly the date on the LP is listed as San Francisco 1/24/86, a show which I attended and recorded.
Alas the San Fran gig was at the beginning of the tour and here the band is having fun as the "Done With Mirrors" tour winds down. They pull out some rarities, including a full verson of the Stones "Honky Tonk Woman" which Joe Perry must of had on his mind as he played a few notes of the intro earlier in the show. Tyler makes a reference to bootleging before the tune too. The Willie Dixon/Otis Rush (John Mayall's version) number "All Your Love" is next. Then Tyler is ready to wrap up the night, but his bandmates convince him to jump into a roillicking version of The Yardbirds "Jeff's Boogie." Even the standard "Train Kept A Rollin'" is played in a unique way this night.
The band would play a final gig in Foxboro 8/31/86 then go into the studio to record "Permament Vacation" along with some cheesy songwriters. When the band emerged for their next gig at the Cotton Bowl 6/20/87 they were a forever changed band. So enjoy one of the last gigs ever from the "real" Aerosmith!
