Ana Popovic
Blues Guitar Roadshow
Governor Hindmarsh Hotel
Adelaide, Australia
2026-08-04
I screwed up, and failed to record the first 4 numbers. I had some issues with connectivity earlier on , but this was purely my fault due to inebriation .
setlist
/ Slowdance
Daddy Was A Preacher (Mama Was An Alleycat)
Lasting Kind of Love
?
Encore (jam session)
intro
Superstition (vocals Andrea Marr)
Solos in order
Richard Tankard, Gwynn Ashton, Shane Gilbert, John McNamara, Geoff Achison, Ana Popovic, Stefan Hauk, Chris Finnen.
this final number was a total hoot !
Anna bought her own bass player the highly talented Buthel Burns, his solo on Lasting kind of Love alone was worth the admission fee.
Band
Bass - Buthel Burns
Drums - Angus Burchill
Keyboards - Richard Tankard
Backing vocals - John McNamara and Andrea Marr
The format was three 20 minute sets for the support artistes, Mcnamarr Project, Stefan Hauk, Chris Finnen and Geoff Achison, then Anna Popovic did a 50 minute set, followed by the jam session at the end.
Audience was generally very quiet, ( although they could have been more appreciative ) and the PA and mix were, (as usual at the gov), excellent.
SP-CMC-25 hyper cardioids > SP battery box > Roland R-07 > Wav 16bit > mac pro 2010 > Adobe audition- some multi band compression, minimal editing > XACT ( LEVEL 8 )
