boombox's notes august 2025:
This was another of those "I've heard a few things by this guy, so why not check him out?" gigs, which was definitely one of my better decisions - I have already booked to see him again at the same venue next year. He has a dozen albums to his name and gave us a good spread of material from them, playing only originals, aside from what has become his trademark Prince cover. He's an excellent guitar player, who lets his guitar do the talking, rather than him (note the minimal number of non-music tracks) and his new band are also very tight.

Although Aynsley's vocals are occasionally a little low in the mix and drums a bit too loud, this came out very well and is an excellent capture of sound on the night. Not too many loud clappers to attenuate and no talkers either, made this one a pretty easy one to work on.
