This bootleg was neither recorded in New York City nor in September 1992. They did not play there then.

It's from the Genève Jazz Festival 92 which took place from 27 to 31 October 1992 at Plaine de Plainpalais, Geneva, Switzerland. The exact recording date of this performance remains unknown. In stage announcements in the CD recording Michael thanks the crowd saying "Merci" and mentions that Mike Stern's Standards CD was recently released (which would have been near the end of September 1992 in the US).
