Welcome Home
Wnen I first saw them last year, I wasn't necessarily impressed. It wasn't bad, but perhaps I was just distracted or interested. As I was tracking out my recording from last year, it sounded like I caught a good show so I wanted to see the band again so I could get a complete capture. At the time these dates were announced I was also looking at Omaha and Des Moines as possible destinations (my son had such a good time that he was trying to talk me into seeing it again in Des Moines). I thought Omaha was where I was headed until I had a job change that allowed me to see this show (fine by me, as Lawrence is easily the shortest drive of the 3 places for me). I was probably somewhere around 15-20 feet away from the stage and around 8 rows back (I was on the floor - this venue only has seats in the balcony). It was HOT in this place and it felt fabulous to go outside after the show was done. I still don't know if I am converted to a megafan or if I will see this band again, but this was a good show. It seems this has some setlist specialties in Mothers of Men and The Hard Sell. Finally, if downsampling and burning to disc the spot I suggest splitting the discs is at after Delirium Trigger.
