This performance was not broadcast live. It was, however, broadcast twice: on the next day, April 26th, and a few days later on the second Friday of Jazzfest, May 1st.

This recording is primarily from the April 26th broadcast with a few splices from the second Friday broadcast. The first 11 seconds, with a cleaner intro, is from the May 1 broadcast.

WWOZ's station breaks were removed:
* A 25-second station ID at the very end of Track 4. It was replaced with a few seconds from May 1 rebroadcast (with a cleaner outro and intro into Track 5). Both the April 26 and May 1 sources had station IDs at roughly the same spot for the same duration; and
* A 100-second station break at 3:10 into Track 10 in the middle of the song. The section was restored with a 9-second splice from the May 1 source.
