The taping Gods were smiling upon us on this chilly California night. Dave Mason Band rocked the Canyon Club big time! It had been 9 months since I've seen Dave live and I was really looking forward to this show. Dave sounded as good as ever, no audible loss of range or strength. Sweet show and the band is really tight! The mix was fabulous, vocals and instruments clear and bright.

This is one of my top 10 recordings to date, and I'm really pleased with the results. There are a couple minor feedback issues which clear up by the 4th song. The crowd was very respectful and hardly a clapper or yacker to be heard. Absolutely no editing done except normalizing to 85%. No fades applied either. It's raw, it's pure and it's EXCELLENT!!
