Note: From early on, Bowie foretold his death in Space Oddity (1971) and Blackstar was a meditation of his impending death. Whether or not he consciously knew how much time he had left when recording it, Blackstar is a remarkable document of looking into the impending void. This was an amazingly moving performance, with the Blackstar Band, Bowie collaborators and the SF Symphony.
