A 30-minute FM broadcast, part of the What Is Jazz? festival, which ran June 17 through July 1 at locations around the City. WKCR picked up Dewey Redman and also William Hooker from the Knitting Factory this evening. This performance was part of a Don Cherry tribute performance, that may have stared as a duet with Charlie Haden (see the accompanying Newsday article) but became a quartet with Kevin Eubanks and an unnamed drummer (possibly, Matt Wilson who played with Redman at Iridium in May 1996).
A small dropout about 13 minutes in has been cross-faded and is not noticeable.
Enjoy!
