Background info from SundayDriver on TTD regarding "On Every Planet" (2007):
The "story" behind this one was that it was given to a large fan from Switzerland by a
roadie. The person that made this transfer of the DAT tape said it was unmarked...thus the
unknown date.

Just want to point out- there was no "bootlegger" involved here. This was all done by fans,
except for the actual recording of the show to DAT.

It's like I wrote before previously in this thread...that is the story that was handed down
to me by the person who did the transfer of this DAT tape in the mid-90s. I am not 100%
certain about how he or the guy from Switzerland got the tape to begin with, but I am 100%
sure that this recording was transferred from a DAT tape. This guy did a whole bunch of
cass, MD, and DAT DS and Knopfler transfers in the mid to late 90s since he was one of the
first people in the community that had the equipment to do it. The CDs made from this DAT
tape were 1:1 copies (a clone). After that, many CD-R copies were made and glitches started
to originate from bad copies. My copy too has a few of these glitches (pops..songs cut..
gaps) FLAC files originating from the 1:1 copy of the DAT tape have never been created.

So the lineage would look something like this:
soundboard feed > ? > DAT[unknown] > CD-R[clone] > CD-R (?) > FLAC (unknown ripping program)


Dating notes (2026):
For years, this soundboard recording was undated. However, somebody compared it to a partial
audience recording of the July 30 Oslo show to confirm that this soundboard is from that
show. The audience recording confirms that "Money for Nothing" was played after Telegraph
Road but it's not on any of the soundboard versions.


Source mixing notes (2026):
"On Every Planet" includes some parts that are missing on the primary source. Unfortunately,
"On Every Planet" is missing a few secs at the ends of almost every track. Hence, the need
to put these sources together.

I used the misidentified "Oakland 1992-02-02" as the foundation. The parts of this source
mix that come from "On Every Planet" are
1. The first ~44.6 sec of track 1
2. The first ~5.7 sec of track 10 (it was faded in on "Oakland 1992-02-02")
3. Track 11 (~12.27.2) - Track 12 (~0:15.0)
4. Track 13 (~5:37.2) through track 14

I had to invert the polarity and lower the levels (by 1.5-1.8 dB) of the parts from "On
Every Planet" so that it matched the primary source. Otherwise, no edits. Because the
sources descend from the same digital source, I could join them with basically perfect
accuracy.

Hopefully a direct transfer from the DAT master or a clean clone can be shared one day, but
this will have to do for now.
