First outing with a new recorder and like a complete dumbass I mistakenly selected the internal mics instead of the at853's clamped eight feet above me. Sometimes its better to be lucky than good. I still pulled a descent recording even though the mics on the deck were pointed straight up at the canopy protecting the sound guys.
