We�re very pleased to present another previously uncirculated performance from a collection that has already yielded a remarkable number of unheard soundboards and audience recordings.

This time, we�re sharing the previously unheard final night of the Australian leg of the 1987 tour. Unlike our earlier audience captures and soundboard releases, the taper here focused primarily on Elvis� solo material, omitting most of the band segment of the show.

While the recording is incomplete and not among the highest-quality captures we�ve released, we�re nonetheless excited to close another gap in Elvis� touring history 38 years later...better late than never.

Based on the provenance of this series of recordings, it appears these audience tapes were made by someone directly connected to the tour. The captures span both the Japanese and Australian legs of the 1987 run though every show was not taped, and they share consistent audio characteristics.

Given that these recordings come from the same collection as the Melbourne rehearsal tape and the November 27th Fukuoka, Japan audience capture, it strongly suggests the taper had privileged access to the band rather than being a typical audience member. The uniformity across multiple dates and countries points to someone traveling with the tour or working in close proximity to the crew.
