Show Notes: Emily's first solo album 'Two Black Horses' was released in July 2025, she was previously known as part of Australian indie folk band Tinpan Orange, and it instantly became of my favourite records of 2025. This tour was in support of that album, with most songs from that album being played, plus a few choice covers, including an excellent version of Jolene, and a Townes Van Zandt cover as a duet with her husband Harry James Angus, formerly of The Cat Empire, and producer of her new album (fun fact - he also wrote the Greater Western Sydney's AFL club song!).

Emily explains the theme of the title track during the show, but the title song revolves around how her parents met (they were from the alpine region of Switzerland). They were in the audience for this show, and she got her entire family up on stage to sing a traditional Swiss folk song to start the encore. It was really awesome. She closed with a song I did not know and can't find anywhere on the internet, maybe it's a new one, so I've arbitrarily titled it 'Oh Gasoline'. It was one of my favourite shows of the year.

If you're into great country music I can not recommend her album highly enough - do yourself a favour!

Recording Notes: I've recorded a number of shows in this venue, and they always come out well, a relatively small room with a bar on one side, with tables down one side and standing room on the other near the bar, with capacity of 400-600 depending on the room configuration. I recorded from the one of the tables close to the front. A few pics I took are included. It's a great recording of a terrific show. Enjoy!
