Day one of a two day residency at The David Hall South Petherton Somerset UK.
The songs, The Banks of Sweet Primroses,The Wood and the Wire, and Meet On the Ledge
were played on this night and not the second night


Had to reduce the volume it was so loud,almost at the point of distortion.
Thankfully it wasn't that bad when lowered. Added a bit of treble and tracked in Audacity.

The group, hailed as the inventors of British folk-rock music, are performing at 8pm tonight and tomorrow (Tuesday)
following their sell-out appearance at the venue last year.
n 1969 the group recorded Liege & Lief, an album credited with launching the electric folk rock movement,
which consolidated the band's reputation as leaders of British folk-rock.

Fairport received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2002
and a public ballot run by the BBC in 2006 decreed Liege & Lief to be the most influential folk album of all time.

The current line-up includes founding member Simon Nicol (vocals, guitar), Dave Pegg (bass guitar),
Ric Sanders (violin), Chris Leslie (mandolin, fiddle, vocals) and Gerry Conway (drums).

Unlike most of Fairport's acoustic performances, both of The David Hall dates will feature all five members of the band,
including the drummer.
