Graham Nash still going strong and sounding as good as ever at 82, JoeRay gives us more details and thoughts around the night and his excellent capture.

At 82 and still touring, Graman Nash is a survivor. He started off with the Hollies and then fell in love with the sounds of David Crosby and Stephen Stills. Soon, in 1969 and then 1970, he was part of the supergroup, CROSBY, STILLS, NASH & YOUNG. Graham has been touring solo or with his own band since 2013 after CSN stopped touring. In the last 12 years, Graham has been touring and performing up to 143 shows a year.
This concert featured a mix of Grahams own songs and those of CN, CSN, & CSNY. It was a strong concert that ended with the local favorite, OHIO which was inspired in Kent, OH at Kent State University. I was in high school and playing hockey in Kent the day the 4 Students were shot by the Ohio National Guard after a fascist president (Nixon) cracked down on college protests. Today, we face echoes of that era. Fifty-five years ago, it was Nixon. Now, its Trump. Five years ago, David Crosby played his last concert at the Kent Stage. This day, Graham kept David's spirit alive by performing many of the songs that they made famous during the last 55 years.
I was accompanied to the concert by my dear mom, Betts Skrha, age 95 who attended the first CSNY tour of Cleveland with me back in 1969. I recorded the concert using a matched pair of Schoeps mics MK4s, NBOX preamp and Sound Device Mix Pre 3-ii 32 bit recorder.
Thanks for listening...Joe Ray
