Recently health issues have caused me to re-think my promises to not distribute recordings made and generously shared by people who shall remain anonymous. I don't want these recordings to simply disappear after my time on earth is through. So after nearly 20 years I've decided I could not sit on this one anymore. Here you go my fellow Dimers! A fantastic recording and an inspired performance by The Godfather of Soul/Funk on his final world tour 6 months before his passing on Christmas day in 2006. If this doesn't get you movin' nothing will. Long live Funk!

DISTRIBUTE FREELY // DO NOT SELL

Primary Wave Music controls the estate of James Brown, including his music rights, real estate, and name and likeness, following a sale of the assets in late 2021 after years of litigation. Primary Wave Music is a music publishing, marketing, branding, and content company that manages the rights and legacies of major artists.
They have similar deals in place for other iconic artists, including significant interests in the Whitney Houston and Prince estates. The sale of the estate for approximately $90 million will provide resources to endow the Brown scholarship trust in perpetuity, which Brown intended for children in his home states of South Carolina and Georgia. The sale followed 15 years of protracted legal battles and infighting between various family members and estate administrators. Primary Wave plans to market Brown's music and legacy through various projects, potentially including new media, television shows, and a museum in his South Carolina mansion.
That being said, please support James Brown's legacy by purchasing his official music and merchandise here: https://shop.jamesbrown.com/
