Version history:
On Feb. 23 2006, sailor shared what I think is the best quality version - the primary
source here. However, sailor realized shortly after he torrented it that it was running
very slow, so he had the mods ban the original version and he replaced it with his
adjusted version. Unfortunately, he adjusted the tempo of the recording independently of
the pitch for that version - an unnatural effect akin to autotuning instead of the
correct method of resampling for pitch/speed correction, so it's screwed up. You should
notice that Ian Anderson's voice sounds really deep and the songs are all still about a
semitone flat on that version, but the tempo has been sped up to be closer to what it
should be.

Then, glasnostrd19 revised the sailor incorrectly-adjusted version on August 14, 2008.
glasnostrd19 just did some level adjustments so the speed problem remained. In 2016,
JerryRocks sort of by accident seeded glasnostrd19's revision of sailor's wonky speed-
adjusted version on lossless legs, but he wrote the lineage as "ALD/In-House FM Master >
my Cassette > CDR". I chatted a bit with JerryRocks about this and he is very confident
that the original source for this is his 1st gen cassette, and he knows the person who
taped all the ALDs at Great Woods. What we think is that the first version that sailor
torrented on dime in 2006 was JerryRocks's (brother's) transfer of his 1st gen cassette
that sailor obtained in a trade. Then in 2016, JerryRocks probably mistakenly thought
that glasnostrd19's revision was a straight rip of the original CDs, so he torrented
it instead of going through the hassle of directly ripping his CDs.

Minksnopes shared a different cassette version on dime in 2007. It's also running very
slow. Decent quality but not as good as the 1st gen version. It has some of the first
parts of Budapest that is missing on the primary 1st gen source. It's channels are
different but it's still fundamentally mono - the different channels are related to
misaligned azimuth.

Doctorzap shared a different cassette version on TTD in 2010. I don't have this version,
but I checked out the sample on TTD's archives. It's also running very slow and I think
it's lower quality than the primary 1st gen source and Minksnopes's.


Speed correction/source mixing notes:
I recently found the first version that sailor torrented before he tempo-adjusted it. I
decided to (correctly) speed correct it and to try to clear up the situation.

-Track 1 started 6.9% slow and got a little faster, reaching 6.1% slow near the end of
track 4. Track 7 (1st gen source) finished 6.3% slow.
-Tracks 8 (1st gen source) to 11 were 6.0% slow.
-Track 12 started 6.3% slow and got faster, with track 14 finishing 5.3% slow.
-Track 15 started 4.5% slow. It reached 5.0% slow by the end of track 16, and track 20
finished 4.7% slow.

I included the following parts from Minksnopes's source (*):
-The last ~8 sec of track 7. This was 9.7% slow. I did a crossfaded merge here.
-The first 2:34.1 of track 8 (Budapest). Its first 21 sec before a cut was 7.8% slow,
and after the cut was 8.3% slow. Minksnopes had this broken into 2 tracks that he
called "Tape messes up" and "Tape still messed". No parts here overlapped with audio
included on the 1st gen source. Much of Budapest is still missing in between the cuts.
The tape seems like it was pretty bad here on both sources, possibly related to poor
azimuth alignment. The clarity of Minksnopes's part goes in and out with a period of
like 15 sec, and the channel phase error varies significantly (from like 10-50
samples). Instead of trying to perfectly correct the varying phase error, I just
adjusted it by a constant 10 samples - the minimum amount. The clarity of Budapest
from the 1st gen source, starting at ~2:34, is still not great until about 5:30.
