Recorded using an AIWA AM-F70 MD recorder, hypercardioid microphones, battery box.
Analogue transfer to CDR audio via BBE Sonic Maximizer and then rip to hard drive.
Minimal WAV editing & volume boost, followed by FLAC conversion.

Please note that while this is a MD recording the quality is very good/excellent.

This show has been in trade circulation since late 2005 but this is the first offering on DIME direct from the original source.

After a week of Tull it was down to the last show in Adelaide, at the same venue they played during their last successful tour of Oz in 1994. I had the same seat I'd occupied at the two shows I'd enjoyed 11 years earlier but this time I was flanked by my daughters, a brother and a couple of other friends; hence the title "Back To The Family And Friends".

Then there is the story of the ballooon.

At night two in Sydney I'd remarked to my nephew that while a Tull balloon would be a great trophy the problem would be getting an inflated one out of the venue and all the way home. I suggested that, since they were invariably burst during the closing moments of the show, the best option would be to retrieve the scrap with the silhouette of the one-legged flautist.

In the closing moments of this recording you will hear a balloon bursting as it struck the ceiling fan above my head, and a moment later the only bit worth having literally fell into my lap!!

It is now mounted and framed with my 7 concert tickets from the tour.
