NOTES:

Ended up with a free ticket to the Kula Shaker/Dandy Warhols show for this night and couldn't say no. It was both my first time at the Bellwether venue (a little bougie but decent sound and easy to get around in) and seeing Kula Shaker. I thought they sounded really great, despite the singer saying he was at the hospital earlier in the day for something to do with this throat/vocals and was told to either "cancel the show or sound like shit while performing". He chose the latter, and I'm glad he did, because again, I thought they sounded great! A really solid performance all around, with an amazing and trippy light show (definitely reminded me of the stuff/lights you used to see at Desert Daze). I always appreciate when a band goes the extra mile to include trippy lights/visuals. At one point he also started flipping out fake $100 bills, which I was able to grab a few of. He said they were only good for one thing and we all knew what that was. So true!

Anyway, again, an awesome show and great performance. Even a fun little story of "UK's Grateful Dead" in Hawkwind, who they covered this night. As part of my free ticket, I was able to get a free tour t-shirt too, though being the giver I am, I chose to gift that to my pops, who begs (and flips out) whenever I get him concert tees from the shows I attend. Hope he likes it...
