The first shows of 2026 find us on a double header. Two nights at North Shields
and here is the first night.
A Hightened Reverence,it was one of Sir Les' description of a previous show.
We had the best seats in the house (Thanks Les) and the best band in town.
A few surprises in the set,to go with the usual favourites.

Ace Of Base (Bass)

And a lovely surprise we get the new/old boy Steve Cunningham filling in on bass.
Steve Cunningham and Neil Harland seem to alternate on various dates. Maybe it interferes with
their paper rounds,all i can say is i'm glad it does. Steve was in the band from 1989-1994
and was playing a lot of Rod's original bass lines. A total change from Neil Harland who
is a fine player,but chalk and cheese as they say. During Meet Me On The Corner, i thought
i was back in 1972. Superlative playing.
