I picked this cassette up on Ebay in 2007 or so. It was undated, but it appears to have been recorded in Los Angeles during Lou's spring 1973 US tour to promote "Transformer" - that dates it to probably April 1973. It doesn't sound like a recording of a radio show - more like a "working copy" of material intended for broadcast. I don't know if it was ever actually broadcast at all. For a 35 year old cassette, the sound quality is surprisingly good (but it sounds as if it was recorded outdoors, on a very windy day).

It's certainly an interesting interview, covering subjects like sexuality, "glitter rock", politics, the "Transformer" LP, Iggy Pop..... Lou simply wouldn't entertain topics like these nowadays. Dennis Katz is present, but is only occasionally audible.

RIP Lou
