This is a terrific audience capture of the very last show of a 2 week tour these musicians played in support of Brecker's Tales from the Hudson album. This had run here back in my pre-DIME days, having been shared by tamaya in 2005 and budfox427 in 2005 and 2006. My traded copy probably got to me courtesy of one of those shares, so thanks to each of them, to the trader who made it available to me, and to whoever did such a fine job in grabbing this show. This was the late show, and I never got the early one. That was seemingly recorded by michaelmee, and shared here on DIME around that same time. Presumably, he may see this share and bring his early show back, if he's able to do that (thanks in advance, if that happens).
This is clearly a band of leaders, and it's a terrific set. I did have it open in Audacity to check the tracking. Some small changes were made there due to the fact that a couple of songs started at the end of prior tracks (Naked Soul and Cabin Fever). There also were a few track ends and starts with fades that were smoothed out to the point where now we'll have each track start with music. Noting was done sonically to what was already a fine capture. If the dimebot archive is correct about this not running since 2006, it's certainly high time, and a bit overdue, for this great set to be heard and circulated again. Enjoy!
