A seemingly unknown NRPS show from a small venue in the middle nowhere in the middle of Connecticut. The accompanying picture shows the place in a prior incarnation. There was an extension added by the time it became Windjammers, and the cars were probably newer, too.
Although the date and venue could not be independently confirmed, it is entirely plausible: the band was playing in CT at the time (Norwalk on 9/24, Woodbury on 9/29, and Ellington on 10/12), and was was at the Lone Star Cafe in New York City on 10/05. Still, the date could be wrong and the venue does seems unlikely. (One person on Facebook claims to have seen NRPS there in 1983, though.)
The very end of Portland Woman is lost to the tape flip. A second flip before Dead Flowers is clean, but Dead Flowers cuts off, and the band says earlier in the show that they'll get to Panama Red eventually, but it's not here. So, it is likely that there is at least one side of a tape missing.
This sounds great for a C(2). There beginning of the tape has some hiss and seems unnaturally bright, as if there may have been Dolby applied somewhere up the chain, but this tape makes no mention of it.
Enjoy!
