Oliver Wakeman Band - Yes From A Page Tour - Worcester, UK
----------------------------------------------------------
Huntingdon Hall, Worcester, UK
11th April 2026
Artwork and lo-res samples included.
A fabulous and somewhat intimate Prog show in the wonderful Huntingdon Hall in Worcester, incidentally built in 1773, the same year as the Boston Tea Party! A perfect venue for this show which was performed to a quiet and respectful audience of around 150 people, which means this is a pretty good and accuate recording. Enjoy the show, I certainly did :-)
Oliver's song intros provide some fascinating insights into the background behind these songs, especially the Yes 'From A Page' material. Very much like his dad, he definitely sounds like a 'chip off the old block'. An interesting listen for fans of this Yes era.
Recording Notes
---------------
I'd booked a seat on the first row of pew seating, fairly central (see pic from a different show) as I could see that each pew conveniently had a shelf in front which was perfect to set my Zoom H5 recorder on, along with the obligatory acoustically inert 'blu-tack' to fix it down. Nevertheless, as these pews are all interconnected you can still hear some slight 'rumbling' between some of the songs caused by the fidgeting of the people in the seating immediately in front. I'm being very picky here though and this in no way detracts from the recording. Once again, I'm very pleased with how this turned out :-) Check the samples etc.
Lineage: Zoom H5 Wav 44.1 16bit -> USB -> SoundForge (Split) -> TLH SB align and Flac encode (Level 8)
Once again, no processing in SoundForge, just the tracking and splits. The recording levels seem to be set to the optimum level on my H5. Onboards mics set to 5/10, Left and right channels on 3/10 each.
I did remove a couple of extended periods of silence between some of the songs.

And here's the official marketing blurb for this tour: -
"Oliver Wakeman Band - From a Page tour - An evening of YES and original works
With the release of the YES album From a Page, now is the ideal moment for Oliver Wakeman and his band to bring some of these beloved later-era YES tracks - which featured significant songwriting contributions from Oliver - to the stage.
The show is split into two dynamic halves; the first showcasing music from Oliver’s extensive solo work and collaborations, the second highlighting material from his time with YES. Audiences can look forward to an evening full of musical surprises and captivating turns.
About Oliver Wakeman: Eldest son of Rick Wakeman, Oliver filled the keyboard role, once held by his father, with YES from 2008 to 2011. His work with YES includes the double live album In The Present - Live From Lyon, Fly From Here and the From A Page box set. Wakeman also toured and recorded as a member of The Strawbs.
Wakeman's debut album Heaven's Isle (1997) was inspired by the island of Lundy. He has since released a number of solo and Oliver Wakeman Band albums. Oliver has released a number of collaborations with several renowned musicians, including Clive Nolan, guitar legends Gordon Giltrap and Steve Howe, band mate to both Oliver and his father in YES.
The Band: Featuring the vocal talents of Hayley Griffiths, the guitar virtuosity of long time Yes tribute band guitarist Oliver Day, Dan Nelson on Bass and drums from Scott Higham."
As Oliver says they'll be back out on tour in the Autumn so look out for them then.
