Notes:

Paul Simon's first appearance at Tanglewood. Excellent performance. Recorded from the lawn, to the right of the stage. The first 35 minutes or so of the show consists of the 2023 Seven Psalms album performed in its entirety without breaks between songs (as per the album). After a short break, the second set was the expected greatest hits along with a few deeper cuts.

A shout out to the guy with the hat and mustache sitting directly behind us, who despite requests and glares insisted on talking throughout the show in the apparent belief that we and those near him were there to hear him and not Paul Simon. We greatly enjoyed listening to him, and once we know the next concert he'll be talking through, we'll be there.

A second shout out to the screeching/yelling woman also sitting behind us, who apparently believed that notwithstanding Paul Simon being an almost 85 year old mostly deaf man performing a couple of hundred yards from us with a full band behind him, he would be inspired by her screeching and yelling. If we ever need someone to screech or yell, we know who to turn to.

Fortunately, thanks to modern technology (MVSep in this case), while my group had to put up with this nonsense, you don't have to. Once the crowd noise was addressed and about five hours of post-production work, it turned out to be an excellent recording.

Enjoy the show and support the artists.
