My first visit to the Aviva Studios, not a bad venue with
lovely friendly staff. This was the hottest ever day in May
on record in the UK so it was a bit of a worry to see how
comfortable it would be in the venue but thankfully it was
manageable, thankfully.
Always good to see and hear a sociable Pixies performance
which was pretty much a greatest hits gig celebrating their
40 years. Of course it was mainly songs from the earlier years
with a few later tracks.
I found the sound to be quiet for the size of the venue with
people shouting at Frank to turn up his vocals which eventually
did happen. I was stood quite close to the front but although
there wasn't a lot of audience yappers you can here a few other vocalists throughout the gig. Anyway it is what it is so please
enjoy.
