using audition, the two side of the cassette were spliced together. 45min from side "a" and approximetly 5min from side "b."
during the 1st track a portion of the left channel was amplified by 5db on one portion and by 3db on another portion.
the whole file was then amplified by 2db. the tracks have been cut using cd wav. nothing else has been done.

the tape was labeled with the above date. saw only one site, a japanese site, with a date of 12/28/78. didnt see anything
anywhere about derringer playing on the 29th. furthermore, didnt see anything at all about reo playing on the 28th or
the 29th. the loop was well known for giving a few hours notice that a live concert was going to be broadcast. the source kept very good records
of things recorded off the radio, but this disclaimer is here just in case he is wrong.


here's another master fm tape from the archives of john e lee. it is unknown what type of equipment was used to record
the initial live broadcast on wlup the loop, chicago's rock station. it has a good mix and high energy. you'll hear whistles, people cheering, reo chants, as well rick cursing.
if this was ever rebroadcast, then the censors would have likely removed his very vocal f-bomb. there is some static hear and there
but it does not detract from the show. would rate this somewhere around a b+/a-
