Another Jackal Production Vol 38: Robby Krieger 2025-10-30 Greek Theatre, Los Angeles, CA

This was the finale of Robby's 60th Anniversary Doors Album series and the third show of the series that I flew down to Los Angeles from Sacramento to see... I also attended L.A. Woman & The Soft Parade (my recordings of these are still active on Dime). Another Dimer recorded & posted the debut album & Waiting for the Sun. If anyone attended & recorded the Strange Days show, please post so we have the full set of these great shows!

The previous five album series shows were all at The Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood, which is a small, mostly SRO club on Sunset Blvd. This show was outdoors at the much larger Greek Theatre in Griffith Park. Although it was the end of October, L.A. was experiencing an Indian summer mini-heatwave with daytime temps in the low 90s so it was a beautiful night for a great show. Robby had a ton of special guests joining his normal band throughout the evening. Being out-of-market I had no idea who'd be joining until I got to the venue. It was a big surprise seeing Perry Ferrell's first performance since his meltdown & I was excited to see Billy Idol who I hadn't seen since the 1988 Bridge Benefit.

Another great night. These Doors album shows have all been amazing!

Includes the gig poster & pics I took at the show with my iPhone 15 ProMax & edited for presentation with PowerPoint.

Enjoy!

Recording notes:
> I was seated dead center about a dozen rows back; people in my vicinity were generally well behaved
> Although I normally do track changes just before the start of a song, with as many introductions as there were I mostly tracked so the intro of performers was included with the song they were a part of
> There were multiple video interludes during some of the personnel changes on stage. These are tracked separately
> Some brief audio overload in a few isolated spots (I remember a few instances of uncomfortably loud vocals during the show)
