Comments:

Final date of Robert Plant's 2026 world tour with Suzi Dian. An eclectic mix of folk songs, covers, and folkified Zeppelin songs, but somehow it all worked. Much more low-key than Plant's days with Zeppelin or his early solo career, but he's nearly 80 and much more interested in nuance. He can't shriek the way he did when he was 22, but his voice is still in great form and he still has great stage presence. I've never heard of Suzi Dian, but she is a great talent -- every bit as good a complement to him as Alison Krauss is.

I don't normally say this about my own recordings because I tend to be self-critical, but this is excellent. I didn't need to do anything with levels or EQ; my only complaint was the asshats behind me who really really wanted to hear "No Quarter" (spoiler: he did not play it. Setlist.fm is your friend, guys) and you can hear them calling out for it between songs. They also had a lot of inane banter during songs but the mics didn't really pick it up. The fidelity is great overall, and the mix is excellent.

When an artist is this age and they come to the end of a tour, you wonder if this is the last you'll hear from them. If it is, this recording is a great send-off. However, based on his vitality and how much he was clearly enjoying performing, I think he's still got something left in the tank.
