Milesian's notes:
Two broadcasts from the same concert, containing some different material and transmitted in different formats, have been combined to make this complete set.

NDR transmitted a first broadcast containing around 120 minutes; this was transmitted via digital radio and recorded on DAT. A second broadcast of around 55 minutes was subsequently carried by the same station, and although it was shorter it contained two selections not available on the previous broadcast. Sound quality is excellent in both cases.

NDR currently transmits an MPEG1 Layer at a minimum of 2/192 kbps; however, the bitrate could actually have been higher at the time of this broadcast (circa 1998). To my knowledge, there is no better recording available.
