Notes:
Telula is the full sextet including Pete Rosales on keys, Conor Smith on sax, and Tais Torres on vox
on stage with Lucas, Thomas, and Lars. The full band is a fusion of primarily of funk and R&B, with
a bit of disco and pop on the side, and Tais' wonderfully breathy vox being a distinct component.
Like I mentioned for T3lula, you might've seen shorts of Lucas and Thomas sometime over the past few
years performing tight and fast funk riffs on YouTube or wherever. While they've only just released
their first Trio album earlier in the month, the full band put out their first album, 3 3 3, in 2022
when they were just 19!! They put out a shorter EP entitled Fade in '23, and most recently released
their sophomore self-titled album earlier in February of this year. These guys are all in their early
20s, so they are literally just getting started, and I can't wait to hear more and see where they go.
Keep an eye on 'em- they are the future!
Good recording except for some popping from some of the harder kicks on the kick drum. Unfortunately
that's how it came out of the stacks at Reggies, but the declick module in iZotope did a little work
to get thema little quieter. IMO it's not as bad as during the opening Trio set anyway. The last tune
is a little muffled in comparison since everyone got up and moved toward the stage at the request of
the band.
