This is the Todd portion of one of the shows he did during pretty extensive touring with Joe Jackson and the Ethel String Quartet that covered parts of 2004 and 2005. I don't have the JJ or Ethel parts of the show to share here, but I believe that a couple of shows are still live on the tracker that include "the whole ball of wax" relative to the evening's program. This came to me long ago as part of a cd-r trade, so thanks go out to the trader who'd sent this my way, and to whoever it may have been that night in Liverpool recording the show.
Some work was done on these files in Audacity. There was a need to retrack the show based on some tracks having started in the middle of applause from another song. They all start with the actual performance now. sbe's were detected and repaired. There was also a pretty noticeable volume difference between the 2 channels, along with a need to clean up a bit of the boominess in the presumably large venue. Tools to address EQ and Mastering were employed for that and help to enhance the depth and clarity. Check the samples to hear what you'll be getting.
Todd sings and plays well throughout this show and definitely engages in some banter with the Liverpool audience. There are songs here that Todd has done many times, but for me, part of the pull for this show (and tour) is the chance to hear Beloved Infidel (on guitar), Afterlife, Stood Up, and Pretending to Care among the songs that a few of us might feel are a bit done to death (even 20 years ago!). Hey, you'll even hear Todd do 2 Beatle songs in Liverpool. Enjoy!
